Program Information: The Department of Turkish Language and Literature is an undergraduate program that aims to train graduates who can recognize the fundamental problem areas of Turkology with their equipment in the fields of Turkish Language, Turkish Literature, Turkish Dialects, and Turkish Folklore, who can think abstractly, thus can approach the cultural, social, and ethical problems of our time with a literary perspective, who are critical, inquisitive, do not settle with problems but research and carry a sense of responsibility. The aim of our department is to train experts with sufficient knowledge in the field of Turkish language and literature. Students who successfully complete the program will have the ability to correctly evaluate texts belonging to Turkish language and literature from the beginning to the present in terms of both language and literature.

Program Duration: The duration of the undergraduate program of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Department of Turkish Language and Literature is 4 years/8 semesters.

There is a possibility of free lunch assistance for students who do not have sufficient financial means. The number of students who can benefit from this opportunity is determined by the University Administrative Board upon the proposal of the SKS Department. Our students can also benefit from the opportunity to work part-time in various units within the university outside of their education and training hours if they wish.

Yurt ve Barınma İmkanları: In our university's İstiklal campuses, there are dormitories with a total capacity of 5,064 beds, including 2,288 for males and 2,776 for females, affiliated with the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Additionally, there are dormitories belonging to the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories in the city center. Besides, there are private student apartments and hostels providing accommodation services in Burdur city center.
